ABOUT
Hello! I’m Sara Dawson, the founder of Your Nutrition RD.
I am a registered dietitian (RD) and have 11 years experience in the field; working both in the NHS and privately.
My qualifications come from a BSc at Kings (KCL) in Nutrition and Dietetics. During my NHS years I have also completed several relevant masters modules and I have lectured on the Food Allergy module (as part of the Allergy MSc at Southampton University) and at KCL for their Nutrition & Dietetics Masters Degree course. I contributed to the set up of the first dietetic service within the adult allergy department at the ‘World centre of excellence for allergy and immunology’ at Southampton Hospital. Please see the bottom of this page for my particular areas of expertise.
I have provided teaching on Olympian run athletics programs at Millfield School and also support Portsmouth Force Basketball club, as well as nutrition talks at David Lloyd Gyms.
My 1:1 services are currently virtually based via video call, presentations and other teachings can be face to face.
I will be here to support you through your difficulties, with a patient ear and some sound advice on how to manage the most appropriate nutritional plan for your specific situation. I’m passionate about helping people to live happier and healthier lives, whilst achieving their nutrition potential.
If you have any questions &/or you feel I can help, please reach out on the contact page.

WHAT CAN A DIETITIAN DO FOR ME?
Dietitians can help with the dietary aspect of a range of medical conditions.
Let me ask you -
-
Are you feeling tired all the time?
-
Do you avoid certain foods, due to concerns around the negative impact it may have on your health or weight?
-
Do you find it hard to know what foods to choose for meals and snacks?
-
Do you have any bowel or flatulence issues?
-
Do you worry that you or your child may have an allergy or intolerance but don't know where to start?
-
When to start weaning? How?
These are just some common concerns people live with day to day, without realising that a dietitian can help to support and resolve them.
Registered dietitians (RDs) are the only nutrition professionals regulated by law. We are qualified health professionals trained to assess, diagnose, and treat dietary and nutritional problems. The title is protected by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The aim of seeing a dietitian is to be provided with specific advice and guidance for your nutrition. Any sessions you have with us will be written up in official documentation, that you can take to your GP or add to your medical records as needed.
Here at YNRD our ethos is to provide a non-judgemental, holistic approach to your nutritional needs. Please reach out to book a free 15 minute call.
